About the Role

The duties listed may seem a bit daunting, but we'll help step you through everything.

You can start with a project as simple as planting a few trees in someone's yard. As you gain experience, you should take on more complex projects.

Duties and Qualifications:

Duties:

  • Find locations for environmental-restoration work.

  • Contact land owners.

    • Present our mission.

    • State what we offer.

    • Ask what work they want done on their land.

  • Coordinate with the land owner(s) and management to determine scope of work.

    • Go to project location to get a better feel for the land and feasibility of an environmental restoration project.

    • Determine what equipment is needed and how long said equipment will be needed.

    • Estimate number of volunteer hours required to complete a given project.

    • Obtain required permits and line locate tickets.

  • Track project progress.

  • Lead safety meeting before work begins.

    • Contact the main office if safety equipment is needed.

  • Log volunteer hours.


Qualifications:

  • 18+ years old

  • Capable of walking on uneven, slippery, and/or loose terrain

  • Proficient with reading and writing in English

  • Passionate about the work
